Step 1. Orient the cube
Hold the cube so that:
- White center — on top
- Green center — facing you (front)
- Red center — on the right
This is the standard orientation. The centers of a 3×3 are mechanically fixed — re-orienting is rare, but double-check.
Step 2. Enter colors for all 6 faces
Pick a color from the palette, then click cells. Clicking the center of a face fills the entire face with the selected color (handy when a face is almost done). Right-click (or long-press on a phone) — erase a cell.
Fill from photos
⚠ Recognition isn't perfect — always verify the result
The algorithm sometimes confuses similar colors (e.g., red/orange or yellow/white under warm light). Uncertain cells will be highlighted after decoding, but it's worth double-checking the rest against your physical cube too.

Take 6 photos, one per face. Good even lighting, no glare, the face fills most of the frame.
